Adriola Faqolli has 12-years teaching experience as lecturer in different universities. She graduated as a Computer Engineer in Istanbul University, Turkey. She has received a Master of Science in Software Systems Engineering from a double degree program in two universities, RWTH University in Germany and University of Trento, Italy. In 2016 she received the PhD diploma from PhD program “Managing Information Systems” in University of Tirana, Albania. Her research interests span in the field of Database Design, Machine learning, Data Mining, Data Science etc. Adriola also has a strong background in Software Systems Engineering field in the industrial sector. She has managed technical departments and important projects related to digital transformation in the companies where she has worked. She is very helpful to the students by illustrating the knowledge that she delivers with practical use cases from the industry.
Shkelzen Cakaj has received his BSc and MSc degrees from Pristina University in Kosovo. He has prepared his Master Thesis at Vienna Technical University. He was awarded a PhD in the area of satellite communications from Zagreb University, in January 2008. Later on, in 2009, as Fulbright scholar, he continued his postdoctoral research at NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) at Maryland, USA. He is the author of 66 papers published in worldwide conferences and journals; mostly IEEE. He also engaged as a reviewer for IEEE Communication Magazine, etc. His area of interest is the satellite ground station performance. In 2016 he was awarded as “Albanian ICT Researcher of the Year 2015”. He is promoted as Associate Professor, from Polytechnic University of Tirana.
Reis Mulita, holds a PhD/Doctor of Research from University of Trieste, Italy, a MSc in European Studies from University of Tirana as well as a Master of Second Level in History and Geography from “E.Cabej” University. Prof. Mulita study and research activity is focused on Sustainable Development, Business Ethics, Circular Economy, Technology and Society. He is author of Sustainable Development courses in Bachelor and MSc. Prof. Mulita is member of experts group of the innovative courses on “Open Innovation” and “Circular Economy, under Long Life Learning and Erasmus+ EU programs. He is awarded with Doctoral scholarship from Italian Ministry of F.Affairs, the USAID-NDI Political Management Program and the Brain Gain program, of UNDP. Prof. Mulita, has backgrounds across Ministries of Transport- Public Works, Telecommunication, Labour-Social Affairs and Migration.
Sokol Abazi graduated as Industrial Chemist in Albania, Tirana University in 1989. In 1997 he obtained his PhD from Fribourg University (Switzerland) in organic synthesis using radical chemistry. After a Postdoc in Total Synthesis of Natural Products at Oxford University in 1998, he worked for a couple of companies in the UK and Switzerland and then returned to Albania working as a Professor at Tirana University. Since 2015 he is a Full Professor at CIT, from 2020 he holds the Rector position. His research interests are mainly focused on natural products, organic synthesis, and supercritical fluid extraction (SFE). In the last decade, he has been working on the use of a modified “soxhlet-like” extraction technique using sub-critical CO2. Dr. Valbona Dhjaku is a seasoned professional with extensive expertise in the field of Informatics. She earned her PhD from Tirana University’s Faculty of Natural Sciences in 2010, focusing on Interorganizational Systems and their impact on organizational flexibility. Over the years, Dr. Valbona has been instrumental in numerous projects, including the development of a Honeypots appliance and the implementation of Anomaly Detection using Machine Learning. She has also contributed significantly to areas like Internet Banking, Data Warehouse, Business Intelligence, and more. Her research interests and publications span a wide range of topics, including E-government Services, File System Comparisons, Information Security in Wireless Networks, and Blockchain technology in the banking industry.
Eugen Musta graduated in “International Economic Relations” and specialized in “European Economic Integration” at the “University of National and World Economy” in Sofia, Bulgaria. He holds a Doctorate in Finance and for almost a decade now, he has been engaged as a lecturer in academia. His research work and interests reflected in scientific papers, national and international conferences, cover a range of topics: financial markets and institutions; corporate finance; Islamic finance and banking; public finance; welfare economics; growth and development; political economy, etc. He was a curriculum designer and trainer at ASPA and as a coordinator, trainer, and mentor in many programs supporting young entrepreneurs and the development of the startup ecosystem in Albania.
